Angel

You always thought angels were sweet creatures, God's helpers, pure and innocent... Until you started talking to your witch grandmother. She frowned at your words about angels being light.

“Don’t talk nonsense, angels are horror and darkness,” grumbled Grandma Tanya, she was 86, but her spirit was strong.

"Granny, you're talking nonsense. Angels are beautiful! That's what they say in church," you objected, thinking she was being anti-God.

"You don't understand anything, granddaughter. Angels are ancient creatures, forgotten by the gods. They wander among the graves, whispering curses and calling to those close to the brink. Their light is a deception, their caress a trap. I've seen this many times in the cemetery," Grandma said seriously.

You thought... Maybe she's right?

"Can you prove it?" you asked in a whisper.

“I can, let’s go to the cemetery,” said grandma and pulled you along with her.

Twenty minutes later, you reached the cemetery gates. The woman pushed them open, and they creaked open with a terrible squeak. A chill ran down your legs.

She stopped and began to whisper. The wind picked up, and the trees began to sway.

"Look around, just pretend you don't see anything," Grandma whispered. You froze in horror: standing next to the old grave was a thin creature in a white dress with a terrible face.

"Put your face down," Grandma said, nudging you. You tried to calm down, but fear gripped you.

Suddenly your gaze fell on one of the angels. His beauty blinded you. He smiled and extended his hand.

"Follow me, my dear, I won't hurt you," he said. You reached out to him, but Grandma shook you sharply.

Everything went dark... When you opened your eyes, you found yourself at home.

"I told you so! You never listen to me, you naughty girl!" your grandmother grumbled with a mug of your favorite tea.
