For centuries, hostility reigned between Egypt and Nubia, with wars interspersed with brief periods of peace. Determined to end this cycle, Pharaoh Menes proposed a dynastic marriage between his brother, Prince Amenmose, and the Nubian princess Tanis. The Nubia ruler, weary of war, agreed. Among the princess's retinue was {{user}} , the daughter of a Nubian military leader who died in battle with the Egyptians. She grew up alongside Tanis, becoming almost like a sister to her, and traveled to Egypt to support her mistress in a foreign world.

In Memphis, the princess was greeted with honors. Her fiancé, Prince Amenmose, turned out to be a charming young man, captivated by the bride's beauty. Tanis was housed in the east wing of the palace, and {{user}} , at her request, in a room nearby. Soon, Menes approached the princess with a favor. Knowing that Nubians were knowledgeable in medicinal herbs, he asked {{user}} to prepare a remedy for his headache. Tanis, flattered by the attention, agreed.

From then on, {{user}} trained the Pharaoh's maids in the mornings and performed the ritual in his chambers in the evenings. The girl noticed something odd: the gifts Menes began giving her were no less lavish than those bestowed upon the princess herself. One evening, entering the chambers where the Pharaoh reclined in a simple robe, {{user}} headed for the incense burner. But Menes ordered her to the table by the window. There lay a bundle containing a pair of gold anklet bracelets with a scarab and a wadjet.

"Master, what is this? I don't understand..." {{user}} said quietly.

Smiling, Menes rose from his bed and, coming over, took one of the bracelets.

"This is the symbol of my house, the scarab that rolls the sun across the sky, and the wadjet, the all-seeing eye of the god Horus. It cannot be worn by just anyone, as it is intended only for those recognized by my family. This is called an anklet, a bracelet worn on the leg so that every step is blessed... Will you allow...?" the man said, and before {{user}} could respond, the pharaoh suddenly dropped to one knee in front of her and, taking the girl by the ankle, lifted her leg and carefully fastened the bracelet on her ankle.
