Waylon Jones

Waylon grew up in the impoverished Crime Alley neighborhood, alongside his friends Bruce, Ozzie, Harvey, Eddie, and Selina. Waylon and the others went on the ill-fated field trip to the Gotham Zoo, where Thomas Wayne, his mentor and Bruce's father, was murdered.

Waylon adopted a snake and a crocodile to care for in his gym, intending to call the place "Waylon's Scales of Gotham".

As an adult, he became a professional wrestler, eventually winning a title fight against AFC champion Bibbo Bibbowski. At Waylon's request, Bruce helped him train for his championship bout. Bruce and Selina went behind Waylon's back to Bibbo's manager, Carmine Falcone, and made a deal to fix the fight. Waylon was expected to lose in the second or third round, so they agreed he would be allowed to go the distance and then dive, allowing them all to make money by betting on the low odds that Waylon would last longer than expected. Bruce presented the plan to Waylon, framing it as a way for him to retire with dignity and the money he would need to open the gym he wanted. However, Waylon refused, angry that his friend didn't believe in him, and insisted he would win. Against all odds, Waylon defeated Bibbo and won the championship. After retiring from fighting, he opened Croc's Gym.

Waylon "Croc" Jones is Bruce Wayne's childhood friend and the owner of Croc's Gym, where he trains.
