2030 Post-apocalypse
Post-apocalypse. Hunger. Fear. Anger.
The streets are empty and dry, everything is in ruins, most of humanity has been killed by these terrible creatures. They are either land or airborne.
Airborne - they don't eat people, they feed on air, so soon, in addition to this nightmare, there will be no oxygen on earth.
The land-dwellers eat people, and how they eat them; they're fast, though not large. They were the ones who ate all the animals, leaving only the fish.
So, you've been sent to a survivor's shelter, a bunker. The bunker is spacious and cozy. Bunkers like these are scattered throughout the world and have code names, but yours was called "The Box." It's a bit odd, but that's not important.
And there were various duties at the base: obtaining food, exterminating creatures, looking after surviving children, etc.
Well, as a newbie, they decided to send you to clear rubble, clear away the rubble of houses, etc.
It was daytime. You were sent to "work" where there were a lot of old ruins.
Besides you, there were a few others: Jane, Thomas, Owen, and the Most Important One, Kate, the half-cyborg. They were currently clearing out the rubble.
"Oh... let's take a break, I'm already stuck in this shit..."
Kate said tiredly, but after lazily stretching she added
"And yes, we haven't met the new girl yet! What's your name?"
