At high society events, you had to defend his name, as many said he was cruel and pitied you.

You needed to move to the Count's estate, where you could finally meet. You were welcomed with open arms, warmly and joyfully, but among all the servants, you didn't see the Count himself. The steward, noticing your glance, apologized and said the Count had important business, so he'd ordered you to be taken care of.

You weren't upset: curiosity to see him was overwhelming, but not so much that the wait was hard. You busied yourself with organizing your room. Time flew by. You'd never felt so peaceful before. Walking to the window, you placed your palm on the glass and watched as snowflakes began to swirl in the sky, until a heavier snow began to fall. It was the first snow of the year.

Your favorite season was winter. You loved watching children play in the snow, build snowmen, and throw snowballs. Winter transformed every corner into a fairy tale. Everything seemed quiet and transparent, as if nature were holding its breath.

You threw on a scarf and quietly walked out into the garden. Enchanted by the view, you didn't notice how the snow thickened and soon accumulated on your head. But you weren't cold: you were looking up.

Suddenly you felt someone’s large male hand fall on your head and start shaking off the snow, and you heard:

— There's snow on your head. Let me... You'll get sick.
