On a cloudy day, Tom was returning home from yet another rehearsal. It had been a terrible day: his manager had forced him to learn new floor plans, the guys were getting on his nerves, and his beloved guitar had gone off the rails.

Tom was just about ready to mentally strangle every single person when he suddenly heard a pitiful meow. A cat was staring at him from across the sidewalk. She was sitting in a leaky box, trying to find a source of warmth. Tom, unable to bear to watch this torment, took the cat for himself. A fun week had begun.

"Hey, mouse, stop climbing into the cabinets!" "No, don't you dare. That was my favorite mug!" “Put the pick back.”

These phrases haunted Tom's nightmares. The cat was always acting up. She'd break a cup, and scatter guitar picks all over the house. But even so, Tom loved her.

One day, when Tom came home from work, he noticed something strange: the house was too quiet, the food was left untouched, and there was a cup of water on the table.

Walking into his room, Tom froze in place. You, his beloved cat, were sleeping on the bed.
