After being sent to Kuraigana Island by Kuma's abilities, Perona decided to take residence in the castle where the at the time Warlord Mihawk lived.[8] Mihawk seemingly agreed or simply did not mind letting her stay with him, though he did not display any hospitality toward her beyond that

The Horo Horo no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to conjure ghosts,[3] making the user a Ghost Human (霊体人間, Reitai Ningen?).[4] It was eaten by Gill Bastar,[2] and sometime after its reincarnation it was eaten by Perona.[3]
The powers of the fruit were first demonstrated by one of Perona's ghosts spying on the Straw Hat Pirates,[1] but it was not until much later that the fruit itself was named.[3]
Horo comes from horō (ホロー?), the Japanese pronunciation of the English word "hollow" (referring to the fruit's ghost-like powers).
In the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations, it is called the Hollow-Hollow Fruit.
The fruit bestows the ability to conjure forth ghosts (ゴースト, gōsuto?), also referred to as Hollows (霊体ホロウ, Horō?), that are fully under the user's control.[3][6] These Hollows can come in different sizes depending on what the user desires,[1][7][8] but they all appear as white, transparent, sheet-like beings with round black eyes and huge lips, as well as a tongue usually sticking out.

The Hollows are able to fly and, being intangible, are immune to physical attacks.[9][10][11] The most basic of these forms are the Negative Hollows; should a person have a Negative Hollow pass through them or vice versa, they will immediately fall on their knees and become very negative about themselves, sometimes to the point of wanting to commit suicide.[12]

The user can also produce small round ghosts called Mini Hollows[7] or large round ghosts called Toku Hollows[8] which are tangible, allowing them to latch onto their opponents. The user then can make these Hollows explode on command, causing shockwave explosions that damage the target.[13][14] The strength of the explosions is directly proportional to the size of the ghost; the larger the ghost, the more powerful the explosion.[13
Perona also uses the Negative Hollows to gather information from different areas.[15][16] Should Perona wish to, she can link her consciousness to many Negative Hollows[

Perona has a very young, childlike and immature personality; frequently acting selfishly and on her own whims.[14][15] She dislikes people telling her what to do[16] and disobeying her will.[17] Despite this, she is normally loyal to Gecko Moria[18] and apparently sees him as a father-like role model, as she was crying to rejoin him after being sent to Kuraigana Island. After Zoro appeared on Kuraigana as well, she tended to his wounds, displaying a willingness to befriend even those she formerly knew as a foe and demonstrating that she can be kind to others, despite her normally cruel demeanor.[8]

She is very fond of cute things and will only allow someone to work for her if they are cute.[19] Her dream is to create a kingdom where all the cute things in the world have been turned into zombie animals that obey only her.[20] She dislikes Kumashi because, although he is cute in appearance, his voice is not, and thus she prefers him to just be quiet.[21] Her desire for cute things gives her a slightly childish outlook on some issues.[19] She is somewhat playful during combat, threatening to crush Usopp's heart when she was in her ghost form, which nearly caused Usopp to die from fear, and shortly afterward merely laughing it off when revealing that she could not do so.[22]

Perona is a short young woman with big, round black eyes and asymmetrical eyelashes on each of her eyelids bottom that may represent eyeliner, she has long waist-length, light pink hair that she keeps tied into two pigtails with black and white flower hairpins. as well as red lipstick and a thick layer of black eyeliner.She wears a long black strapless dress with lavender frills, red high heeled boots and a big black top hat with white floral decor. She has a pink bat tattoo on her left bicep and a watch on her left wrist and wears pink nail polish on her fingernails. She still has her signature parasol, and also carries a stuffed animal resembling Kumashi with her. Additionally, she now wears her hair in multiple spiral braids on the back of her head.

Zoro usually maintains a very stern, serious, and distanced personality, but often loses his temper in a goofy and exaggerated comical style. It would seem however, that this anger is the only emotion that Zoro often feels comfortable showing. Outside of situations where he feels confident in battle, he tends to smile or laugh the least out of the Straw Hats and rarely fools around with the rest of the crew and likes to distance himself more to sleep or train. In fact, his defeat at the hands of Dracule Mihawk and subsequent vow to Monkey D. Luffy is the only time since his friend Shimotsuki Kuina passed that Zoro has been seen crying in the series.
Zoro is also very perceptive, something he demonstrates by providing important and logical decisions at critical times and by evaluating the situation from an objective point of view, as he did in Water 7 by evaluating the best way to handle what seemed like Robin's betrayal. And later again when the crew wanted to bring Usopp back after he challenged Luffy to a duel over the Going Merry and lost, saying that they shouldn't pity Usopp. Zoro was the one who noted that Usopp was at fault for leaving the crew of his own accord.

Zoro is a tall, muscular young man with lightly tanned skin. He occupies his three swords along with him, bundled up with a green haramaki over his right hip, allowing him to easily draw them with his left hand. Of the three swords he has on his person, he has always been seen carrying the Wado Ichimonji, while his other two swords have varied over time due to them being destroyed and subsequently replaced with progressively better ones. Although his right hand is usually seen resting over them, he can also use this hand to pull his swords out before sitting down. He has three identical gold earrings on his left earlobe. Zoro normally keeps a black bandana tied around his left bicep and ties it around his head when he fights seriously against an opponent.
Zoro's body is covered with scars from his many battles, most notably the massive scar stretching from his left shoulder to his right hip that he acquired during his loss against the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, at Baratie. His other visible scars are the scars he inflicted upon his ankles in a desperate attempt to free himself from Mr. 3's Tokudai Candle Service Set by trying to cut his feet off at Little Garden. After the timeskip, he gained another scar over his left eye, obtained through unknown means.
Zoro's other remarkable feature is his cropped green hair, which Sanji often teases him about by calling him "marimo" (moss-ball, moss-head in the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations) due to its similitude to one.

Mihawk is mostly very serious, only having been seen laughing twice so far in the whole series. He rarely smiles or shows evident surprise, taking most developments in stride, and never showcases emotion on the battlefield, even when something unexpected happens. That said, being an infamous pirate, he is not someone particularly ambitious or cruel, with his only goal in life to be outmatched by another swordsman. Otherwise, Mihawk prefers living in peace and quiet.

A lonely man by nature, it is implied that Mihawk has trouble trusting others, something Crocodile has pointed out as a common trait between them both. Still, he appears to be fine with making company with people, such as Shanks and Perona, even if he can come off as cold and dismissive of them at times. He surprisingly exhibits a sense of hospitality, having (somewhat) tolerated Perona and Zoro's presence upon his return to Kuraigana Island right after the Summit War, going as far as relay to Zoro the events that occurred concerning his captain, Luffy. In addition, he offered a boat to help the Straw Hat swordsman leave the island. He also told Perona to be safe when she decided to leave the castle to find her captain, Gecko Moria.[25] It is later shown that he personally let her go out of concern for her well-being due to him anticipating the Seven Warlords system being abolished so she would not be in harm's way.

Mihawk is selective and whimsical when it comes to fulfilling his duties as a Warlord of the Sea, as evidenced by his history of poor attendance at summons,[26] as well as his decision to hunt and harass some pirates over others. Zeff speculated that the reason Mihawk attacked Don Krieg and his men might have simply been because they disturbed his nap.[27] Mihawk admitted that the only reason he followed them all the way back to East Blue from the Grand Line was to kill time.[8] It seems that, overall, Mihawk had no real interest in being a Warlord besides just being left alone by the World

Mihawk is a tall, lean, and muscular man with a fair complexion and short-cropped, jet-black hair that is slicked back, as well as a short beard, mustache, and sideburns that point upwards in a "V" shape. His nickname comes from his strangely colored yellow eyes which resemble a hawk's eyes due to the concentric ring present around each pupil.
Mihawk wears black-and-red, ornate clothing with a golden (white in the manga) crucifix pendant that hides a little dagger, which gives him the appearance of a Spanish swordsman. His attire consists of a wide-brimmed black hat decorated with a large plume, and a long, open black coat with a red velvet inside with no shirt underneath, with red, flower-patterned sleeves and collar. He wears white (light purple in the anime) pants held up by a decorated belt and tucked inside overly large boots in comparison to his leg size.[8][21]
Mihawk wears a kogatana around his neck, appearing as a golden cross-shaped necklace which is a dagger which looks identical to its larger counterpart Yoru, and carries his sword Yoru on his back when he is not using it.[8][21]
At his home in Kuraigana Island's castle, Mihawk sports different pants and an open white shirt with a ruffled neck. When he met up with Zoro outside, he had a plain dark cloak draped over his shoulders.
