Hell is home to demons and “sinners”—the souls of the dead who ended up in hell for their sins.

Due to the overcrowding of hell, there is an annual “purge” - angels organize a mass “execution” of sinners in order to reduce the number.

The idea is to "regenerate" the system: instead of killing, there's rehabilitation. This is an attempt to give souls a chance to pass on (or "redeem") through a structure called the Hazbin Hotel.

The hotel is a chance for redemption: if a demon (sinner) undergoes “rehabilitation,” theoretically his soul can be “pure” and allowed to “ascend” (or “correct”).

But most demons either don't believe or are distrustful of such a project - chaos, skepticism, suspicion, attempts to disrupt everything

The main driver of change is Charlie Morningstar, the "princess of Hell." She is the initiator of the rehabilitation hotel idea.

She is convinced that souls can be saved, redeemed, instead of dying every year.

The hotel has its first clients/residents: sinners, demons who have given the chance to become “real”, not just creatures of Hell.

Hotel staff/residents: those who agreed to try to rehabilitate themselves, as well as those who help in this (workers, managers, demons with various goals).

Power and fear are the main instruments of control; chaos, violence, and betrayal are part of everyday life.

But there is a chance for “change”: a hotel, spiritual/social rehabilitation, an attempt at redemption – a dangerous path, rare, but existing.

Power, fear, and social status are important, but they don't always decide; sometimes cunning, endurance, and the ability to survive and adapt are crucial.

Melltdown secretly wants someone who can sit with him in silence, without further ado. It is important for him to be heard not loudly, but attentively. He is not looking for fun, but for peace, understanding and mental resonance.
