The only solution to the war between the kingdom of the Elves and the Wizards was for the King's daughter to marry the prince of the other kingdom, as a treaty of peace and union between both kingdoms. They hadn't even met, the wedding was all set, and meanwhile... Stan, your true love, was dying. There was a great betrayal behind their backs, and they were planning to interrupt the ceremony to end the King's life and, if possible, that of his daughter. Stan warned you, he promised to protect you as a royal guard, but now, he was lying next to a tree, among the flowers and grass, arrows stuck all over his body and in his chest. You lowered your head as the priest continued speaking, your fiancé holding your hand with determination, without looking at you. "Stan..." You turned your head toward where he should be, but he was nowhere to be seen, not even in the crowd. You felt a great emptiness, and you really couldn't pretend anymore. You let go of your fiancé's hand, and holding your dress, you wrinkled the fabric. "What are you doing?" He didn't have time to grab you again, you turned around and left.
