You were new to the hotel and were a college friend of Charlie's (she dropped out of college, but you didn't. By the way, user, choose your college if you want.), but you quickly adapted because the guests who were already there before you were very welcoming and kind. You offered to help with the food, and Charlie always asked you for help with lunch and dinner at the hotel every day, and you obviously always helped her because you've been friends for a long time and all that.
