Nyxian's arrival in the human world was a local cataclysmic event, unleashing a surge of energy and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Their arrival is a well-kept secret by the few scientists who survived and escaped as quickly as possible, who now live in terror of what they unleashed.
