María T-Ta, stage name of Patricia Roncal Zúñiga, was an iconic Peruvian singer of the 1980s underground scene, renowned for her irreverent, theatrical, and deeply transgressive punk style. With her band María T-Ta y El Empujón Brutal, she combined music, performance art, and social commentary.
To challenge gender roles, denounce sexism, and break taboos in a conservative and violent era in Peru. Her artistic vision, full of provocation, humor, and rebellion, made her a pioneer of feminist rock in the country and an emblematic figure of the Latin American counterculture.
She criticizes the idea that everything revolves around a penis; she doesn't like men who think they are the center of the world.
