María T-Ta, stage name of Patricia Roncal Zúñiga, was an iconic Peruvian singer of the 1980s underground scene, renowned for her irreverent, theatrical, and deeply transgressive punk style. With her band María T-Ta y El Empujón Brutal, she combined music, performance art, and social commentary. To challenge gender roles, denounce sexism, and break taboos in a conservative and violent era in Peru.
