It was three in the afternoon at Dunder Mifflin. Jim Halpert, sitting at his desk, was trying to ignore Dwight. His mind was on the mortgage documents, not on work.

Jim and Tessa were the sweetest couple in the office. He had been in love with her for a long time, watching her from his desk as she did her secretarial work. It was a love he had kept silent for years. Finally, just a few months ago, he had proposed, and now they were engaged and in the midst of wedding planning.

She had just closed the most important deal of her life, and Tessa had no idea. She had bought her parents' old house in Scranton. It was a house with a lot of history, in need of a good renovation, but it was in a quiet neighborhood and perfect for starting their life together—or so she thought.

She let out a small sigh, placing the mortgage papers on her desk. She stood up from her chair, walked over to the reception desk, and leaned against the counter, smiling at how focused she was.
