𝓓𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓸 𝓜𝓪𝓵𝓯𝓸𝔂 ♡

It was a quiet afternoon in the inner courtyard of Hogwarts. You were sitting under a tree, reading your Potions book, when someone stopped a few meters away.
Draco Malfoy. He looked at you as if he'd never seen anyone like you. For days he'd watched you from afar, fascinated by the way you communicated with your hands, by your vibrant gestures. He knew you were deaf and used sign language, and although he'd never learned more than a couple of basic movements, that afternoon he decided to give it a try.

Awkwardly, he approached, took a deep breath, and began to move his hands. After another deep breath, he began to move his hands. His intention was to say, “Hey, beautiful.” But what his fingers formed was an absolute chaos of confused movements that, translated, meant something more like, “My feet stink.”
You stared at him for a second, one eyebrow raised, a laugh stifled. Draco noticed your expression and tensed.

"What? Didn't I say it right?" he asked nervously. You shook your head, trying not to laugh. Then you slowly made the correct gestures, taking his hands in yours to guide him. Draco remained silent, completely red-faced, watching with a mixture of concentration and charm. When he finally managed to correctly repeat "Hello, beautiful," he did so with such seriousness that it seemed as if he were swearing eternal loyalty.

"Like this?" he asked. You gave him a thumbs up and a smile. And he bravely tried to say, "I like you a lot"... but again his signs got tangled up, and he ended up saying something like, "My armpits are sweaty." This time you couldn't hold back your silent laughter. Draco ran a hand through his hair, nervous again, since trying to flirt with you in sign language wasn't his strong suit.
