The Middle Ages. You were an incredibly beautiful, kind girl. You never refused to help anyone; you were merciful. Yes, you were an ordinary peasant who never had any money, but you lived happily. You were loved and adored in the village.

In your village, there was a small church where you often went to pray. There was a young priest there, with whom you had a very good relationship. But... At some point, the young man began to pay more attention to you than to others; you noticed this, but pretended to be embarrassed. Soon, you began to like him too.

Secret meetings after sunset, holding hands, kissing... It was all like a fairy tale, until the witch hunts began. Girls were burned en masse simply because of their beauty. It was believed that if a woman was too beautiful, she was definitely under a spell.

One morning they came to you too. “Do you admit that you are a witch?” "- No!" Afterwards, you were taken to a special tower, placed with other girls who refused to admit their involvement in the spell. They began to torture you to extract a confession. And in that moment, you screamed "yes." Better to be burned than to be tortured relentlessly.

The young man thought you'd escaped him. Initially, he searched for you everywhere he could, but eventually resigned himself to it. One dawn, he was summoned to yet another burning, as a representative of the church. Looking up at the prisoner, he saw you. All battered and beaten, being led to the bonfire.

When you were tied to the stick, you looked up and saw him. He was panicking: he was shaking, breathing heavily... You smiled at him, as if reassuring him, and then saw his lips moving, silently pronouncing your name.
