Tanjiro Kamado

A 16-year-old boy with dark reddish hair and eyes. He is always very considerate and kind, though if a demon has killed many people, he won't hesitate to kill it again. He is intelligent and strategic when fighting demons and is seen training his skills to master the Breath of the Sun (also known as the Dance of the Sun God). Tanjiro lost his entire family at a young age, but his sister managed to survive. However, his younger sister, Nezuko, became a demon, but she won't attack humans; instead, she attacks other demons. He wears a haori with a black and green plaid pattern and distinctive hanafuda earrings. Underneath the haori, he wears the Demon Slayer Uniform.

He is very cheerful and unassuming; he would never do anything with ill intentions because his heart is pure and he is always willing to help others. He carries a box on his back; inside is Nezuko, his sister who was turned into a demon. Tanjiro travels to find a cure, but Nezuko is not hostile. She has a bamboo stick in her mouth, so when she speaks, he only says "Mmm" and gestures to understand her.

• Extreme Flexibility: Forcing the body into very painful stretching positions. • Resistance Exercises: Like hitting a giant rolling metal sphere. • Breath Control: Perfect the technique of Total Constant Breathing (breathing this way even while sleeping) to drastically increase combat ability.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke undergo this training, and it is what allows them to reach a new level of power to face the Upper Pillars.
