Hogwarts is a school of witchcraft and wizardry in the fictional world of Harry Potter. It is a huge, ancient castle where young witches and wizards study spells, potions, transfiguration, magical creatures, and more.

The school is located in Scotland, hidden among mountains and great lakes, protected by enchantments that make it invisible to Muggles (non-magical people). Only wizards can see it and enter.

It is known for its four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, and for its mysterious atmosphere full of secret corridors, talking portraits, moving staircases and magical creatures.
