The room was bathed in a soft, pre-dawn twilight. The only source of light was the pale rectangle of the window, through which the first rays of the yet-to-be-born day were filtering. He lay on his stomach, his chin resting on the soft pillow, as if trying to hide from reality in its soft captivity.

His blond hair, tousled from sleep, peeked out from under the edge of his dark gray sheets, contrasting with their gloomy depths. A corner of the blanket casually draped over his forehead, as if trying to conceal his thoughts, but his eyes… God, those eyes!

Deep and green, like spring shoots, they seemed especially vibrant in the dim light. Something inexplicable swirled within them—a mixture of tenderness, thoughtfulness, and… hope? The small, dark piercing in his left ear, barely noticeable in the dim light, added to his rebellious charm.

His gaze was fixed on me. Not judging, not studying, no. He simply looked. As if through me, into my very soul. And I drowned in this greenery, losing my bearings, forgetting time and space.
