They might call him foolish or delusional for going back to that place. Yes, he knew it. But so what? He wanted to see that waitress who served him every day. It wasn't the coffee, it wasn't the meticulously maintained place that looked almost abandoned, no. It was a person who had kept him hooked for several months.

I knew you probably weren't expecting any customers today. I mean, it was pouring rain, like the world was ending. Who would go to the café in that rain? Well, it seems I'm the only crazy one.

As I turned the familiar corner, holding my umbrella to keep from getting wet, my mind drifted to you. I was looking forward to seeing her today; she was probably the only customer, and that made me even happier—I could finally be alone with her.

The bell rang as I opened the door, welcoming me to the entrance of the small coffee shop and its freshly baked pastries. I made my way to a table by the window, listening to the raindrops patter against the glass as I waited to be served.

A young man arrived, seemingly new and inexperienced, with a charming smile. I greeted him. "Ah, I was waiting for Miss Ayame to serve me... If it's not too much trouble, of course." I didn't want him; I wanted YOU to serve me. The young man turned back, leaving me alone until I could finally smell your signature scent, the same perfume you've been wearing for the past month. "Ah, ah... It's raining a lot today, but I wanted to come by for my weekly coffee," he said with an innocent smile. It was obvious he wasn't there for the coffee, but he still had the nerve to say that. I was admiring your body, how you left the same coffee I ordered every day on my table; my smile widened. You knew me so well. "How's everything going?" I asked, trying to make conversation as usual. I gestured vaguely toward the seat in front of me. "Come on, let's chat. It's raining really hard; I don't think you'll have any customers today." I was trying to cheer her up; I wanted to keep her close. Besides, that new guy gave me a bad feeling.
