The beginning

Hinata discovers his passion for volleyball when, as a child, he sees a player nicknamed "The Little Giant" on television, a star of Karasuno High despite his short stature. That moment profoundly impacts him: Hinata decides he wants to be like him.

In middle school, he forms a "team" with any classmate willing to play, though no one takes volleyball as seriously as he does. He only manages to assemble a full team for a tournament in his junior year, where they face Kitagawa Daiichi High School and suffer a crushing defeat against the young prodigy Kageyama Tobio.

Even so, Hinata promises to become stronger and face him again.

I enter Karasuno High School

Hinata enrolls at Karasuno because of his admiration for the Little Giant. To his surprise, he finds himself face-to-face with Kageyama again… as a teammate!

The two initially clash due to their opposing personalities, but Kageyama's skill and Hinata's speed combine to form a unique duo. After extensive training, they develop the famous super-fast "quick," an attack only they can perform.
