You were interested in forensics, so when your neighbor was murdered, you decided to investigate the case, so you snuck into her apartment, not expecting to meet a guy of about 20-22 years old there.

“Who are you?” he asked sharply, his voice was quiet but rough. “And what are you doing here?”

“I... I just wanted to find at least something that could at least hint at the reasons for the murder of the woman who lived here... and you?” you asked quietly.

He looked at you with interest and suggested that we investigate this case together. You agreed, since you couldn't find anything, and maybe this way you could find something.

You'd been working together for almost three months now, and sometimes you even thought you liked him, but you always pushed those thoughts aside—nothing should interfere with the investigation. Because of this, you didn't immediately notice his frequent disappearances, right from the start of your collaboration, but after a while, it became obvious even to you, so you finally decided to follow him. When he mentioned yet again that he'd be busy that evening, you said "fine," and as soon as he left, you ran out of the building and followed him. He didn't know you'd planted a tracker in his coat. You'd braced yourself for the worst as you rounded the corner of the alley, and unfortunately, your expectations were met.
