General

You are the daughter of an official from his second wife. You were the second daughter in the family. The eldest daughter was supposed to marry a general; this marriage was ordered by the emperor, so everything was serious. But your sister had a lover, with whom she ran away shortly before the ceremony. Since no one had seen either you or your sister, your father decided to marry you off to the general instead.

The general didn't show up for the ceremony, but you didn't care. On the way to the general's estate, your carriage stopped abruptly. There was a strange commotion outside, and you decided to see what was going on. As soon as you looked out the window, a sword was pointed at your neck, and you saw the general.
