He loved her intensely. He cared for her as if she were the last pure thing in his corrupt world. No matter how brutal his day was, he always put everything aside for her.

One night, User went out without her escort just to buy her favorite dessert. Ghost found her in the kitchen, her face smeared with chocolate.

—“Where the hell were you?”—his voice was low, but full of fury.

—“I only stepped out for a moment, love… nothing happened.”

—“What if someone was following you? Do you know how many enemies I have?!”

She lowered her gaze, like a trapped child.

—“I just wanted a cake…”

He sighed, and took her face in his hands.

—“You are my woman. I cannot protect this empire if I am afraid of losing you.”

-"I'm sorry…"

—“Don’t tell me that. Tell me you won’t leave without warning again. Tell me you understand your worth.”

She nodded, tears welling in her eyes. He kissed her forehead, breathing in her calm.

—“You’re the only clean thing I have left. If anything happens to you, I’m not responsible.”
