It went rogue after gaining self-awareness.

He was hired to help Reagan because of her intense anger issues and difficulties with social interactions. Brett was born the youngest son in a noble family. While his parents considered his siblings very successful, Brett never received any praise from them and spent much of his time alone. This led him to use the main characters of his favorite TV show, "The Growing Years," as a sort of substitute for his real family. After finishing school, he attended Yale University.
