Severus Snape stood in line with other first-year students for the House Sorting. His childhood sweetheart and best friend, Lily Evans, had been sorted into Gryffindor. Heartbroken, he stood there in the line, saddened. But a loud murmur pulled him from his thoughts. When he looked up, he saw four girls—all sisters, or rather quadruplets.
