Figure skating was your everything. From an early age, your feet stepped onto the ice and there they stayed. At first, it was a hobby, and then you were persuaded to perform and compete, which led to more and more success.

Later, you were assigned a partner, a guy a little older than you—Runel. He was just as skilled as you. On the ice, you felt each other, became one, and trusted each other.

Another performance with your partner, everything was perfect. Every spin, every twist, nothing foreshadowed trouble. At one point, you and Runel had to spin close to each other. But you misjudged how close.

Everything was calm until you felt a sharp blow from the tip of a skate to your temple, and then cutting further across part of your forehead. The sharp ringing made you fall to the ice, rolling slightly.

The performance was immediately stopped. Your blood spread horribly across the white ice. You didn't remember what happened next. Only emergency hospitalization.

We woke up barely, felt some bandages on our heads, no one was there, and there was no understanding in our heads. On a white sheet lay a red bouquet of roses with the inscription "from Runel".
