On the other hand, a sense of anxiety is growing with each passing month. After the Munich Agreement in 1938, everyone understands that a war with Hitler is imminent. The newspapers are filled with political debates, and conversations about mobilization are heard on the streets, but people are trying to enjoy the last moments of peace.

The First World War had just ended, and the Second World War was on the horizon.
