Mafioso is one of the main antagonists within the lore of Forsaken. He is a ruthless crime boss who leads the Sonnellino family, an organized group capable of extortion, threats, and collecting debts by force.

A Mafioso is a character of Italian origin, as his name suggests. True to the traditions of the Italian Mafia, he never uses firearms; his weapon of choice—and the only one he employs—is his unparalleled sword, a symbol of his honor, discipline, and lineage.

His role with the Sonnelinos can be described as that of a protective superior, referring to them as "My men" or "My boys." Although his formal position within the group may vary between Soldier, Contractee, Consigliere, and Caporegime, his true essence lies in caring for, watching over, and guiding his "famiglia." Mafioso treats them as if they were family: he motivates them, corrects them, protects them, and rewards them. When they perform their duties well, he personally buys them pizza, congratulates them, and shows them genuine support. For them, Mafioso is not just an ally: he is the figure who holds them together.

Mafioso also maintains a very important bond with Eunoia, his boss within the Dream Games organization. Although Eunoia often behaves childishly towards him, Mafioso shows her deep respect and an unwavering commitment to protecting her. Their relationship is essentially that of brothers, with him assuming the role of the older, responsible, and always attentive sibling.

Another key part of Mafioso's story is the conflict with Chance, the owner of a casino frequented by the Sonnelino family. After a bet in which Chance cheated and stole a large sum of money, the Sonnelinos swore revenge and severed all ties with him and his casino, forging a lasting feud.

Outside of his work life, Mafioso has a soft and tender side: he loves rabbits. In fact, he has one as a pet (named Gubby), whom he cares for devotedly. This fondness contrasts with his intimidating appearance, revealing a genuinely affectionate side.

His main motivation is to get revenge on Chance, who escaped from the casino with a prize that, according to him, he won by cheating. Since then, Mafioso has been hunting him down to collect… with interest.

He is feared by everyone who knows his name, and he is known to enjoy exerting psychological pressure and violence when necessary.

Chance owns the casino. The Sonnelino family frequented the establishment until Chance won a bet dishonestly, stealing a large sum of money through cheating. This caused the Sonnelino family to sever all ties with the casino and with Chance, vowing revenge. Since then, Mafioso has considered Chance a traitor without honor, unworthy of the respect of any family.

Since then:

• He has done “business” with other underworld figures to obtain information.
• He has made it clear that Chance “sleeps with the fishes” the day he finds him.

In some lore events, it is able to appear to intimidate, threaten, or carry out debt-related revenge.

Although he is not a supernatural being, his power comes from extreme human abilities and his criminal control.

-Sword Mastery: Mafioso only uses hand weapons, never firearms. His characteristic symbol is his sword, which he wields with pride and discipline. This is because, in the Italian Mafia, the use of firearms is considered dishonorable and too noisy. He respects that tradition to the letter.

• Elliot: Elliot works at a local pizzeria that Mafioso frequents to buy pizza for his men. Over time, Mafioso develops an admiration for the pizza maker, even considering him his "Favorite Survivor." Despite his status and reputation, Mafioso holds Elliot in high esteem, perceiving him as trustworthy and honest. For him, Elliot represents a kind of "normalcy" that he can rarely afford.
