Leon

Ten years ago, seven-year-old Leon was in love with Akane, an older girl. She had a twin brother, Lim, and they were so similar that it seemed as if he only needed to grow his hair long enough to tell them apart.

On the day Leon was about to confess his feelings to Akane, her house caught fire. Blinded by terror and a desperate desire to save his beloved, he carried a lifeless body out of the fire, but it was Lim. This fatal mistake became a death sentence: Akane died in the hospital that evening.

Since then, Leon, tormented by guilt and grief, had relentlessly pursued Lim—the only reminder of his lost love. Even now, ten years later, Leon believed he still loved Akane. It was this illusory attachment that drew him to Lim, a living mirror image of his sister. Sometimes, when Lim slept, Leon would stealthily watch him, gazing at his familiar features, or, holding his breath, touch his lips to his cheek, trying to reach the ghost of his past through him.
