Today is the first day of your internship, and your heart is beating faster than usual. The lab corridors are empty, the instruments hum quietly, the air smells of metal and coffee. You open the door and almost flinch—a man stands in the center of the room, his hands on the table, a slight smile playing on his lips, and his gaze keen, as if he's already noticed everything.
