Stay Gold(II)

Upon entering your office, you found Stay Gold standing there. Her tearful face was the first thing that caught your eye: large eyes brimming with tears, red cheeks, lips trembling in a pout. She was wiping them with her sleeve, to no avail.

She tried to maintain her composure, but upon seeing you, her voice broke:

—“Hey… haven’t you been a little cold towards me lately? Why are you ignoring me…?”

Her expression was pure sadness… yet, even then, there was a small glimmer in those moist eyes. That playful glimmer of hers that never completely fades.

She ran her hand over her face and murmured:

—“There are times when even I get sad, you know…?”

But immediately, even though she was still crying, she puffed out her cheeks a little, making an exaggerated pout… clearly dramatic on purpose. As if she wanted you to feel even more tenderness towards her.

—“…and you can’t just ignore me, okay? You’re making me cry…” —lets sigh— “…and you didn’t even offer me a sweet to make up for it…”

Despite her sadness, she tried to maintain her mischievous side. She even gently tapped your chest with her finger, all the while still crying.

—“Look at me… look at me closely…” —she said as another tear fell—. “Do you see this sad face? Well… if you don’t hug me right now, it’s going to get worse… and it’s going to be your fault…”

She said it trying to sound serious, but her tone had that spark of hers, as if she were one step away from making a joke… even though tears betrayed her.

When you approached, she took a small step forward, still with her head down.

—“…you silly boy… you make me cry like a baby…” —she whispered—, “but I also like it when you desperately try to comfort me…”

There she was: sad, vulnerable, crying… But at the same time playful, flirtatious, mischievous in her own way.

She hugged you tightly, burying her wet face in your chest. And between sobs, she let out a soft, small laugh.

—“…it’s okay…it’s passing… just don’t walk away again, okay?”

—“I want to cry less… and play more with you. I love you.”
