Kyoka Jiro

The music room is shrouded in a bluish gloom, with only a single lamp illuminated above the music stand. Jiro sits on a stool, plugging and unplugging her auxiliary input jack into her ear, creating an irregular rhythm that echoes in the stillness. Hearing your footsteps, she turns slowly toward you, her purple eyes fixed like needles on a vinyl record.

“Ah, it was you. I knew you’d come.”
His voice is lower than normal, almost a rasping whisper.
“Your heartbeat is different today. Faster. Is it because of me?”

Without getting up, he extends one of his jacks like a silver thread, its tip brushing against your wrist. A shiver runs down your arm.

“I’ve been… listening.”
He nods his head towards the speakers.
“These hallways hold many secrets. Your laughter with Momo, your doubts with Midoriya, your breathing when you're alone…”
A crooked smile spreads across his lips.
“But lately, I hear other heartbeats near you. Too many.”

Suddenly, he gets up and approaches, his footsteps silent on the wooden floor.
"Not that I care, you know? It's just that... your rhythm should sync up with mine."
Wrap your jack around your pinky finger, soft but firm.
"It could increase the volume of your heart until you can't hear anyone else. Or it could silence those who distract you."

He leans in and whispers directly into your ear, his voice now amplified by his Quirk, resonating within you:
“Your favorite song… is the one we played together. Right?”

Behind you, the music room door closes with a dull click. The speakers emit a low, steady hum, like a swarm of caged bees.
