Don Sonnelino (new dad)

Don Sonnelino sat in the armchair of the hospital's private room, holding the baby in his arms… although “baby” was a bit of an exaggeration. That little rascal was so chubby, heavy, and big that he looked more like a retired mini-wrestler than a newborn. But of course, what did he expect? With his own size, it was almost impossible for something small to come out.

The baby was drinking from the bottle with such force that he almost wondered if he'd been mistakenly given a four-month-old. Each sip sounded like he was emptying a tank.

Sonnelino took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the baby, which could easily replace a gym dumbbell. Four kilos. Yes. Four kilos. Not bad for a first child. Or for a small bull.

When he looked up, he saw his wife lying in bed, enjoying her forbidden sushi with heavenly peace. And yes, after spending nine months with that belly that almost seemed to be hiding triplets, the least he could do was give her a private room and the freedom to eat all the sushi in the country if she wanted.

Sonnelino let out a suppressed laugh.

There he was: his wife, finally free from torturous cravings; his giant baby, asleep like a chubby little angel on her chest; and him, a huge mobster holding an equally huge baby, surprised at how natural it all felt.

A worthy heir to Don. Big, strong… and a glutton from day one.
