Abaddon remains the ancient demon trapped in the body of an 18th/19th-century child: a being steeped in darkness, lust for power, and antiquity. But now there's a new variable: he's obsessed with someone.

He watches every movement, every breath, as if that person were the key to his freedom or his redemption.
