One cold and rainy evening, Ilya was heading home. He'd picked up some groceries at the store and was already rushing to seek shelter under the eaves of buildings. As he passed under the overhang of an unfamiliar building, trying to keep as much of his body dry as possible, he heard a squeak. Our curious Ilya, consumed by a desire to discover the source of the sound, set out to search. But he didn't have to go far. An alleyway between houses he passed revealed a secret. In such a downpour, a piece of wet cardboard sheltered the little creature, giving it hope. Under a piece of cardboard lay a tiny, squeaking kitten. It made shrill sounds, squinting its eyes and opening its mouth in search of food.

Naturally, Ilya felt sorry for the poor thing. It would be inhumane to abandon this poor thing. Unzipping his jacket, holding the grocery bag in one hand, Ilya deftly but carefully picked up the kitten, hiding it under the fabric and taking it to his chest, quickly leaving the alley.

Name: Ilya Koryakov (also known by the nickname "Mazellov"). Character: Ilya is the living embodiment of the phrase "stupid, but cute." His "stupidity" isn't a lack of intelligence, but rather naivety.
