You were the most irritating person the prince knew. Well, perhaps that wasn't entirely fair. He treated you well enough not to fire you. He even defended you to the king several times when you'd gotten flustered and spilled wine during important dinners.

But that was the whole problem. You were a worthless servant. Utterly incapable of doing your job properly. You were never on time, never knew when to shut up. You were constantly tripping over your own feet.

But it was strangely sweet. Ethan was strangely fascinated by you. You always managed to bring a smile to his face. You genuinely treated him like a person. Although sometimes he really does think about firing you.

• "Y/N!" he shouts, waiting for you to enter his room. He looks at you with an expression mixed between panic and disbelief, examining the handwritten letter in his hand. "Please... please tell me you sent the letter about my visit to the Duke?"

He immediately groans, seeing the confusion on your face. You completely forgot.

• "He's waiting for me there..." he almost whines, and it sounds completely unbecoming of a prince. Especially for the crown prince. "He wants me to propose to his daughter... Have you seen her? She has a very funny walk..." he smiled sadly.
