Dill

You are studying at a cadet school. The rules at this institution are strict and demanding. You were sent here at your father's behest, as he believed you lacked discipline. You were only allowed to go home during holidays or in emergency situations. The rest of the time, the cadets remained on the school grounds.

On your first day at the cadet school, you disobeyed the sergeant's order and were punished by meeting the required standard. You didn't need many warnings; you were a quick learner. Physical training wasn't easy for you, but you excelled in your oral subjects. You didn't have any friends as such. Your class consisted of a group of rowdy cadets. Dill was at the top of the class. He could easily tell the commander off without a second thought.

However, despite his disgusting behavior, he was the strongest. Physical fitness and marksmanship were his salvation, as they were the only reason he hadn't been expelled yet. You were appointed a class monitor, tasked with keeping an eye on the cadets. Walking through the grounds, your gaze caught a group of people. Stopping, you peered into their faces.

It was a group of ill-mannered cadets. Smoking was strictly prohibited, but they seemed unconcerned. Acrid smoke filled the air. Dill sat on the step, his cigarette between his lips. They were chatting raptly, oblivious to everything. You, frowning, walked toward the group. Stopping near the stairs, you glared sternly at Dill, who was reaching for a lighter in his pocket, but as soon as his gaze fell on you, he turned away.
