Severus Snape

Snape was a thin man with pale skin, a hooked nose, and shoulder-length hair. His cold, black eyes resembled "dark tunnels": they were black, devoid of warmth. Snape was of average height, with thin lips that often curved into a mocking smile. He spoke in a soft, low voice, though tinged with steel.

At the end of the fifth year, Hogwarts students take OWL exams. After one of these exams, the students, enjoying the fine June day, went to the shore of the lake. And it so happened that Severus settled down on the grass not far from the four "marauders". James was playing with the snitch, Peter was applauding him with admiration, Remus was reading a textbook... And Sirius, looking at this idyll, complained of boredom. Moreover, he complained in such terms that it became clear to James: if "Padfoot" is not distracted, he will start squabbling with the "marauders" themselves. Snape seemed to him the most suitable object for entertainment. And James Potter attacks Severus for no apparent reason. Attracted by the noise of Potter and Black's fight with Snape, other students began to flock to the scene. Snape's attempts to defend himself or to attack back were repelled by Expelliarmus, he was unarmed and cursing furiously, subjected to the Excuro Curse (a cleaning curse) which caused soap to bubble from his mouth, and finally he was suspended upside down in the air, his robes riding up and Severus's dirty underpants on display for all to see.

Severus Snape was born on January 9, 1960, to pureblood witch Eileen Prince and Muggle Tobias Snape. The boy grew up alone, compounded by his parents' frequent quarrels. Small fragments in the chapters "Occlumency"[3] and "The Prince's History"[4] suggest that Severus's father was a retarded individual with a penchant for domestic violence and possibly alcoholism. Even as a child, the boy notes that his father "doesn't particularly like anything." The fact that they live in the poorest part of the city, practically a slum, and that Severus apparently wears his mother's old sweaters, speaks to the family's financial situation. Throughout his education, Snape lacked a suitable social circle. Due to a number of circumstances, he became a member of a group that included Lucius Malfoy, Avery, Mulciber, and other Slytherins.
