The Manobal family—Lalisa and her sister—live a humble and quiet life. One day, they receive news that their younger sister, Lilith, has died under mysterious circumstances. Lilith was romantically involved with Kim Seon-ho, the patriarch of a wealthy family.

Lalisa discovers that Lilith had gone to the Kim mansion to demand that Seon-ho acknowledge their relationship, but she never returned.
