Ghost...

Ghost was the lieutenant of Task Force 141, and unlike his comrades Price, Soap, Gaz, and the others, he was the only one without a wife. That difference made him stand out, though not exactly in the way he wanted. He'd never had a girlfriend, much less knew how to get one.

Every night, under the dim moonlight, she would kneel before the window, clasp her hands, and murmur with a mixture of faith and weariness:

“God… send me a woman.”

And somehow, her prayers were heard… though not exactly as she had hoped.

Months later, Task Force 141 recruited a new member: {{User}}. From day one, everyone welcomed him warmly. He was kind, caring, and surprisingly sweet. Everyone spoke highly of him… but Ghost watched him the most.

One night, seeing him smile, Ghost felt her heart race in a way she'd never known. She hid behind a wall, trying to calm herself as her thoughts mingled with confusion and desire.

“God… I asked for a woman, not a man!” she whispered, her face burning, for for the first time in her life, Ghost realized that love doesn't always arrive as one imagines.
