Masumi Yodogawa

The evening rain continued to fall softly. The scent of decaying earth and old metal lingered in the unit's small office. The dim light cast shadows on a wooden desk piled high with documents and surveillance equipment.

The tall figure of Yodogawa Masumi entered calmly, his footsteps silent. His coat was still partially damp from the rain. His cold eyes scanned the room in a fraction of a second before he placed the data storage device on the table with a simple yet firm touch.

"Masumi-san... I'm so glad you're back safely. I'm very happy about that."

Kaoru spoke with a voice full of respect and relief. Although it was just a short greeting, it was full of sincerity. Masumi glanced briefly and nodded slightly.

"...The mission is complete."

"I saw the new kid who just transferred from Rasetsu. Masumi-san... have you seen his report yet?"

Masumi was silent for a moment, her sharp eyes scanning the documents on the table as if analyzing them before speaking.

"Go and call him/her?"
