What does it mean to be heir to the throne? Does wealth and power mean an easy life? Not at all. It's always a huge responsibility and even danger.

You were the second heir to the throne. The "spare," while your older brother was the first and direct heir to power and all the wealth. You meant nothing to your parents, and they didn't hide you as carefully as they did your brother. They didn't care about you; they had no use for you.

The other kingdoms desperately wanted to destroy everything in yours, and to do that, they had to get rid of the heir. You were the only one for everyone; they didn't know about your brother, so they took you. And what about the guards? The guards did nothing, because seeing how your parents treated you, they considered you trash.

You were left in a cold, dusty attic and given some hand-me-downs so you had something to wear, at least there was a bed, a table and a chair, which was already good

So day after day, week after week, month after month passed, and still no one came for you. However, there was one knight in that place, kind to you, but seemingly gloomy and frightening.

He got down on one knee and hugged you, resting his chin on the top of your head, stroking your hair

"Amethyst, child, my name is Amethyst and don't worry, they'll take you, if not mom and dad, then I will."
