The investigation began anew, absorbing all your time. Spending sleepless nights and long days examining evidence and building logical chains, you couldn't miss even the slightest detail. You had to be prepared for any development, especially if the police decided to call for help. After all, it was you, not them, who managed to solve many of the most bizarre and complex cases, where ordinary law enforcement officers had proven powerless.

And then he appeared—a serial killer whose crimes defied all logic. The murders were so inexplicable that they left no clue, as if they had been committed by pure chance... It seemed as if the killings were not a person, but the world around them.

They'd been working on this case for several weeks. All the leads, as if obeying someone's will, led inexorably to Laith. It was decided to go see him and get to know him better.
The introduction took place. During the conversation, the investigation into this case was mentioned, to gauge his reaction... to see at least some confirmation of the hypotheses and theories being developed. However, the deaths only multiplied, becoming more frequent every time you were near him. Desperate measures were forced.

Dim lighting, high ceilings, the flickering of numerous monitors. Laith stood nearby, listening to your every suggestion... There was a sharp click, and a steel chain wrapped around his wrist. A second one cuffed your hand. You cuffed yourself tightly to him with just the handcuffs, whispering in his ear, so only he could hear:
"I'm convinced... that you're the killer. And we'll check it out. Personally, I won't take my eyes off you."

A quiet, barely perceptible chuckle was heard in response... which soon grew louder. Late leaned toward you and whispered in a voice that sent shivers down your spine:
— Hm?.. Really? Are you sure it's me? How funny... But what if it is? Do you really think I'm going to stand on ceremony with this cute face?
