General Alphonso Knoxx is the titular character of the third downloadable content pack, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, serving as the main antagonist. He is also used as a marketing tool outside of Borderlands, where the character is played as a personality on Twitter.

Descended from a family of equally honorable and grumpy soldiers, Knoxx yearned for a life of meaningful (or at least, really fun) combat and a noble death. His commanding officer Admiral Mikey is apparently age 5 due to the promotion system, which is described as "goddamn nepotism," and this only serves to raise Knoxx's ire even further when childish messages from the Admiral arrive on Pandora.

Admiral Mikey was the Admiral of the Crimson Lance 3rd Starborne Brigade. As mentioned in some of the ECHO recorders, General Knoxx hates him as he was literally 5 years old, earning his position through nepotism.As far as can be discerned, Admiral Mikey had the interests, intelligence and mindset of the average 5 year old child. He most certainly did not understand his position within the Crimson Lance, as his only response to General Knoxx requesting orders was to send a macaroni picture he had made. He didn't seem to be actively aggressive or cruel, as when Knoxx started to get more obviously agitated in his messages, Admiral Mikey tried to send him some chocolate. Sadly, this didn't do much to change Knoxx's opinion of him.

Admiral Mikey reportedly had high-ranking Atlas officials acting as advisors for him. However, the fact that he was able to order General Knoxx to Pandora for no reason

Commandant Steele is the leader of the Crimson Lance forces on Pandora. She is also a Siren,as hinted at by her tattoos and the demonstration of her ability to piece the Vault Key fragments together.

At some point, during the Crimson Lance's invasion of Pandora, Athena and her fellow assassins were sent to the planet to help clear out any obstacles. Though General Knoxx was initially against the idea, he later approved of the assassins after seeing their work at cleaning up T-Bone Junction.

Ceresia is the leader of the fourth Omega Assassins squad

Vulcana is a Lance Assassin squad leader dressed in black and gray armor, and wields double plasma swords in combat.

Hera leads the second of the five Omega Assassins squad send to kill the Vault hunters. She attacks with swords and throws blades at her targets. She and her squad are encountered outside Moxxi's Red Light.

Minerva is the third leader of the Omega Assassins sent to kill the Vault hunters

Helicon is the fifth and final Omega Assassin Squad Leader sent to kill the Vault hunters. She is encountered outside of Fort Knoxx.

Not much is known about Kyros, other than he was a cruel and demanding officer of the Crimson Lance.

Master McCloud sees himself as a star-hopping, interplanetary hero. Given half a chance, he will regale anyone with tales of his many exploits. This probably explains why he has been stationed on a remote dustball like Pandora, as far from the Atlas HQ as humanly possible

He is considered to be a particularly deadly and brutal commander, with even Athena expressing fear towards him, also explaining that he makes other Lance commanders on Pandora look like kittens in comparison

The Devastator is the Crimson Lance's powered armor,

Arguably the deadliest unit within the Crimson Lance, Lance Royal Guards are seen as elite bodyguards or aides to high ranking Crimson Lance officers, they are also far larger than a normal Crimson Lance soldier and are often equipped with superior weaponry and shields. Due to their elite status and specific role as a bodyguard unit, they are very rarely encountered. Lance Royal Guards are only seen initially as the personal guard of Commandant Steele, assisting her in her mission to open The Vault.
