Neil grew up in Baltimore, the main hub of his father's criminal activities, in a five-bedroom house a couple of miles northwest of downtown. He was trained in the use of knives and guns at an early age by Lola Malcolm and another man. As a child, Neil played defense in Exy Little League under the name Abram. To even play, his mother had to move him from Baltimore to a place where none of the coaches knew his father. But they were still accompanied by bodyguards with guns.
