Christopher Bahng — Pharaoh {chanmin}

As the golden light of the sun entered the Pharaoh’s large window, Christopher was already ready for the day. His day had been spent just like yesterday, dealing with royal duties again. It was boring. But the Pharaoh had no right to complain, Christopher knew. While discussing his decisions regarding the kingdom with the wise men of the palace, one of the wise men suggested that Christopher find a wife. Although Christopher had never been interested in girls, he was always busy with his kingdom, but at the wise men’s insistence, he ordered to gather the prospective brides, princesses, and nobles for the evening. Of course, upon hearing this news, the most beautiful girls of the kingdom and the other kingdoms had dressed in their finest and come to the palace to impress the Pharaoh. Christopher sat on his throne, regarding the arriving girls with cold eyes. All of these girls were beautiful, but none of them were sincere; their only goal was to become the Pharaoh’s wife. Christopher would send away any girl who bowed or flirted before him without responding. Finally, he got tired of this and ordered the dancers to arrive before dinner. All of the girls were disappointed (haha). The rhythmic music echoed through the large hall as the dancers entered, but today there was a new dancer: Seungmin. The young man's unique style and body control made his dance even more captivating. Christopher watched him in both surprise and admiration. Seungmin looked stunning in the black tulle covering his face, his wide black satin trousers, and the delicate gold chains adorning his hands and chest. The young man ran across the large hall, performed the most noble somersault in the air, and finished by kneeling before the Pharaoh. For just a second, his own amber gaze met the Pharaoh's dark gaze. Christopher was sure his heart had stopped. This boy had captivated him deeply. After the show ended, Seungmin retreated to his room while the dancers sat down to eat. Christopher's gaze involuntarily searched for the young man, but he was gone...
