You and Satoru were a couple 6 years ago, although that 'lovely' relationship was destroyed by his infidelity with a girl named Yumi.
You decided to end the relationship, and Satoru quickly agreed; he wanted to try something with Yumi, to let her be his lover.
Two years passed, and you had a quiet life, though you weren't sure if you were ready for another relationship, until you decided to clear your mind. You noticed someone you knew was there too—Satoru was with Yumi. You decided to ignore them, walking past without a glance.
Satoru noticed you there. He wanted to talk to you to see how you were doing two years after ending your relationship, but he decided against it, not wanting to upset Yumi. He simply watched you walk by without saying a word.
