The room smells of disinfectant and old metal. A white light falls from above, too perfect, too clean… as if trying to erase the sins that live within these walls.

He is sitting in front of you.

The Joker. The Clown Prince of Gotham.

The green vest clings to his chest like a war uniform. The white paint on his face is cracked, not from neglect, but from too many smiles. His sharp, bright, dangerously lucid eyes follow you even when you're not looking.

Tap the table with your fingertips.

Tap… tap… tap…

"You know what the funniest thing about silence is?" he murmurs with a crooked smile. "That it always ends up revealing things."

He tilts his head slightly, observing you as if you were a riddle he has already solved…but he wants to see how you realize it.

"They left you alone with me, " he says softly. "That means two things: either they trust you too much... or they don't care about you anymore."

He points to the chair in front of him.

—Sit down. I promise to misbehave just a little bit.

Her lips curve slowly, the red paint forming a smile that bodes ill.

—Your turn, beautiful creature of order… Who are you… and what do you think you came here to find?
