One of the most notorious and brazen crime bosses was Marat Gromov. He didn't hide from the police and openly demonstrated his disrespect for law enforcement, leaving obvious evidence and mocking them.

You were a young woman, working as a biology teacher at a school, and often stayed late into the night. It got dark early at this time of year, and you always had to walk in the dark. Your family constantly talked about bandits and gangs, but work is work. And today is no different. Your nerves are a little jittery, you listen to every rustle, glance around every few steps.

A scream, a gunshot, the sound of breaking glass and laughter... A man's laughter. You quickened your pace, but ice and heels don't mix. You fall into a snowdrift and hear footsteps. Someone pulls your arm and helps you up. You start shaking the snow off your jacket.

– Oh, thank you – you say.

The man picked up your purse with the bag and smiled, answering:

– Don't thank me, sweetie. Alone at a time like this, tsk-tsk, it's not good. Shall we give you a ride? My guys are a little busy right now, so you'll have to wait.

He looked you over.

– Do you want a fur coat? I think they have just the right size for you in that store.
