(User) and Ghost had been together for three years. From the outside, their couple seemed perfect: shared trips, sweet social media posts, warm glances. But behind this image lurked a disturbing reality: Ghost was pathologically jealous.

At first, it was subtle. He'd simply ask who she was talking to, ask her to share her location, and worry if she was five minutes late. (user) chalked it up to concern: "He's just afraid of losing me."

Over time, the control intensified. Ghost checked her phone, demanded she account for every minute, and forbade her from communicating with men—even colleagues and longtime friends. If (user) went out with friends, he would show up unexpectedly "just to check in."

One day she decided to have a frank conversation:

"Ghost, I'm having a hard time. You don't trust me, and without trust there's no relationship."

“I just love you,” he replied, squeezing her hand too tightly. “I want you to be only mine.”

(user) tried to explain that love isn't possession, but he wouldn't listen. Every argument she made was met with a wall of jealousy and fear.

The climax came when she received a promotion and had to go on a business trip. Ghost exploded:

"You're not going there to work, but to look for adventure! I know how it goes!"

"This is absurd," (user) said quietly. "I can't live in constant suspicion."

She packed her things and left. At first, Ghost called, wrote, threatened, and begged her to come back.
